Upon entering the shop, I spied the Blume gown in the corner. I’d been wanting a lilac dusky pink theme (my partner at the time wanted burgundy jackets which felt jarring with the image I had in my head!)
I’d wanted classic and understated and tried on several gowns, fully plain white with bows very on trend and after fitting like a glove into my first try on I thought I’d found the one. Until my mum said ‘why don’t you just try that one on ‘for fun’…
Donna (the boutique owner) warned we don’t try Blume on for fun but I uttered the words ‘I love her but I’d never go for a coloured dress as I’ve chosen mine’
Words that became a mockery as I looked down and realised this was quite the most me dress I could possibly find. My mum and I both muttered the words my late grandad would have adored

The Blume gown is absolutely stunning! I love how the lavender and blush tones create such a romantic atmosphere for a wedding. It reminds me of the focus and strategy needed when playing a complex 麻雀ゲーム with friends. Nicola looked radiant, and those 3D florals are truly a dream.
