I tried on over 65 gowns searching for the one I had pictured in my head—but nothing quite matched the vision. I knew I wanted something timeless and elegant, with a solid ivory base, delicate lace appliqués, and a shape that felt bridal but still me.
When I slipped into this Eddy K gown at Magnolia Laine in Charlotte, it was actually 12–14 sizes too big and part of a trunk show with only the plus-size sample available. But the girls really listened to what I described, encouraged me to try it on anyway and the moment I did… I saw it. Even oversized, it checked every box. Clean fabric, delicate lace along the bodice and neckline, and the structure I was looking for.
I’ll admit—I was nervous to say yes to the dress without seeing it in my size almost sight unseen. But when it arrived, it was exactly what I imagined. I even made a small change, thinning the floral lace straps to soften the balance between the top and the fuller skirt.
As a wedding content creator, I see a lot of gowns, but this one was everything. Elegant, timeless, and completely me. Eddy K, you nailed it! - Sierra
