“My mother and grandmother, who live abroad in Panama, had come to visit me before the wedding in Washington, DC. The week they were here, I knew I had to find my wedding dress because I wanted to share that experience with my two favorite ladies. We visited three different bridal stores and tried about 25 dresses before I stumbled upon the Kyra model. The moment I fit into the dress, I felt extremely comfortable, sexy, and beautiful. I fell in love with the dress form, the sequins covering it, the long train, the delicate intricacies of the top, and the overall fit of the dress. My mother and grandmother, couldn’t stop crying in joy when they saw me and my heart told me that this wasn’t just a dress, it was THE dress. On my wedding day, as soon as I saw myself in the mirror I couldn’t believe my eyes, I looked like myself but an iconic version of myself. A version of myself that I will never forget.
